We are excited to announce the release of a compelling video reportage titled “Unlocking Digital Urban Code. Digital Social Innovation and City Spaces.” This insightful documentary was produced by Raw-News media agency under the direction of Federico Fornaro, with filming by Fornaro & Lupinacci/Raw-News. It was created for the MUR-PRIN 2022 project, “Digitally-enabled Social Innovation in the City: Implications for Urban Spaces, Societies, and Governance,” led by Chiara Certomà (Principal Investigator, University of Rome Sapienza) and Venere Sanna (University of Siena).
The reportage delves into the profound impact of the digital revolution on modern cities. While digital capitalism drives the neoliberal transformation of urban landscapes worldwide, a grassroots movement of digitally-enabled social innovation is emerging. This new wave of innovation is taking root in the foundations of society and flourishing in the suburbs of our cities.
The premiere of the full video report, “Unlocking Digital Urban Code: Digital Social Innovation and City Spaces,” is scheduled to be presented at the European Edition of Makers Faire in Rome in October 2024.
For those eager to explore this transformative topic, the full video-reportage is available for public sharing here and for teaching purposes here.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how digital social innovation is reshaping our urban environments!
